The following cases from the Hartlepool area were dealt with recently at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Adrian Dennis North, 28, of Laird Road, Hartlepool, was banned from driving for 14 months and ordered to pay a £340 fine, £68 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting two counts of drug driving and one charge each of driving without insurance and driving a car with no test certificate on September 26.

Liam Stokle, 28, of Furness Street, Hartlepool, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge after admitting possessing class B amphetamines on June 3.

Shay Rowbotham, 23, of Grange Road, Hartlepool, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge after admitting possessing class B cannabis on April 28.

Kelly Nichola Poad, 44, of Colenso Street, Hartlepool, was placed on a community order and ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £90 victim surcharge and £170 costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in a racially aggravated manner on November 14, 2019, two assaults on October 9 and failing to surrender to custody on March 5.

Craig Wharton, 42, of Uppingham Street, Hartlepool, was ordered to pay £136.20p in compensation after he admitted committing theft on February 14.

Michael Derren Johnstone, 47, of York Road, Hartlepool, was banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay an £160 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drug driving and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on December 5.

Joshua Hopps, 25, of Prior Court, Billingham, was banned from driving for 18 months, placed on a community order and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drug driving on November 28.
