Hundreds of thousands of visitors expected to flock to Hartlepool again for Tall Ships

Hartlepool council chiefs hope to provide something for everyone when Hartlepool plays host to the Tall Ships Races again in two years time.

The date of the event is still to be confirmed but it will be come to town in summer 2023.

Once again it is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to Hartlepool

And organisers say it can provide a big boost to the town’s economy.

Singer Ian Monaghan of Hartlepool band White Negroes entertained the crowds at a night time concert during the 2010 event.
