Dave Challinor not expecting any deadline day outgoings at Hartlepool United despite Gime Toure and Fraser Kerr speculation

Pools have been active in the transfer window this month as they’ve secured the loan signings of Timi Odusina, Macauley Southam-Hales and Rob Harker while also bringing Aidan Keena in on a permanent deal. They’ve also extended Mark Shelton and Gary Liddle’s loans until the end of the season. In terms of outgoings, Peter Kioso and Nicke Kabamba have been sold to Luton Town and Kilmarnock respectively. Challinor doesn’t expect any more players to leave and has played down speculation regarding the likes of Gime Toure and Fraser Kerr attracting interest. “I’ve not heard anything on Fraser formally so I’m not sure where the link has come from,” claimed the Pools boss. “He was in and out of the side and then obviously he suffered an injury and isn’t really close to being fit. “It’s certainly not something we’ve been actively pushing and I don’t expect anything to happen in the immediate future. “If it comes to a point where he’s back fit and wants to be playing then that’s a conversation I’ll have with the players moving forward. Then we’ll come to a decision that suits everyone. “Overall, it’s been really quiet for us. Nicke was a quick turnaround and was out of the blue really because we had no interest whatsoever before Kilmarnock came in and it was completed within 24-hours. “With Peter, there was speculation and that moved pretty quickly but aside from that there’s been nothing. “Coming into the back end of the window, I’d suggest that if people are looking to move for players now then it’s probably because other targets haven’t worked out. “If you’re going to go in for players we’ve got, I think we would have bids placed before now or even people registering interest and asking the question and that hasn’t been the case. “Because of that, I don’t think anything will happen and I hope it doesn’t because we’re busy preparing for what is a tough and important game at Barnet on Saturday.”
