Here’s a look at who could stay and who might leave from the current crop:
9. Edon Pruti
Has done very well while on loan at National League South Farnborough and, by all accounts, would prefer to remain down south. Could well go on to have a good career but it's very unlikely that will be with Pools. Photo: Pete Norton
10. Kieran Burton
Has shown enough potential to remain in the picture next season. Received rave reviews following a loan spell at Darlington but was sent off on his debut after heading back out on loan to fellow National League North side Chester. His versatility and promise means it's no bad thing to have him around for another season, although he could well head out on loan again. Photo: Mark Fletcher
11. Louis Stephenson
The teenager has excelled since marking his return to the side with a man-of-the-match performance against Halifax on Good Friday and has played himself firmly into the first team picture. Will have his work cut out competing with Dan Dodds but provides Pools with another excellent option. Photo: Mark Fletcher
12. Dan Dodds
Managed just five games before sustaining a season-ending ACL injury at the end of the win over Fylde in August. Was really impressive at both right-back and on the right side of a three before that, having signed from Darlington in January of last year. ACL injuries are notoriously difficult to come back from but the 23-year-old has been out on the grass, and looking strong, in recent weeks. His return ahead of pre-season will be like a new signing for Kevin Phillips, who is still to see him in action. Photo: FRANK REID NATIONALWORLD 2022
