Tesco says it with flowers to say thank you to our NHS workers

A supermarket said it with flowers when it came to thanking hero NHS staff working through the coronavirus pandemic.

Tesco on Leeholme Road, Billingham, recently presented a beautiful bunch of blooms to all NHS workers who visited the store.

Store manager Peter Shaw said ‘a huge amount’ was given out during the course of the day.

He said: "The reason we gave out flowers to our NHS workers on Sunday was as a thank you to them for all their hard work and dedication at this difficult time.“Every NHS worker received a bunch of flowers.”

Tesco stores set aside Sunday mornings between 9am and 10am as priority for NHS workers, and following feedback added an additional hour every Tuesday and Thursday.
