Ann, also mum to four-year-old twins Hannah and Lewis, said of Andrew’s illness: “He lived a totally normal life for the most part. He never let it get him down or felt sorry for himself.
"He always talked about how luck he was to have what he had with me and the kids.
"Over the last three years the tumour started to become more aggressive. He had courses of chemotherapy but continued to work through it.
"He was still at work two weeks before he died.”

Hide AdAnn said Phoebe shares Andrew’s positive attitude and humanitarian nature and rode her bike in all weathers over half-term to complete the challenge.
Ann, who lives in the Park Road area, added: “In her own words, she said she just wants to help people with brain cancer so we came up withe idea of laps around the park.
"It’s something she and her dad used to do together a lot.
“It would mean so much to us all to raise some funds for a charity close to our hearts and to contribute to improving treatments for those affected by this devastating disease.”
Ann, 40, said Phoebe has amazed her with her strength in the face of losing Andrew in June and she has been a massive support to her and the best big sister to the twins.
