Hartlepool's own running man clocks up 120 miles for charity and he won't stop until Christmas

Dad of three Anthony Wheeler had originally planned to run 300 miles by Christmas Eve to raise money for Miles for Men.

Hide AdThe 39-year-old is running in his spare time after he keeps up his job of supplying the people of Hartlepool with daily fruit and veg from Fruit Fayre in Oxford Road where he works as a delivery driver.
Anthony is also doing boot camp sessions from Monday to Thursday each week with the help of Steven Smith from the Body Doctors at Seaton Carew.
“The running is going well,” he said. “I’m up too 120 mile and I’ve done 19 runs.
"I had two days rest due to swollen ankles but I am back running now and the fundraising is going well.

Hide Ad"I have raised fundraising is good too. I’ve raised £400 pound so far and I have had people talking to me at work and on the streets, saying ‘well done keep it up’ which was really nice.”
Anthony began his quest to run for Miles for Men on September 2 and has already topped 120 miles towards his 300 mile target.
Anthony has been a strong supporter of the charity and has run the Miles for Men annual race six times. He has also been involved in two charity boxing matches for the cause.
