Amanda Donoghue and Christina Youll set upon the victim after a long-running feud erupted in violence late one night leaving him covered in blood and needing hospital treatment.
Teesside Crown Court heard how Youll, 43, started attacking the man soon after he arrived at his next door neighbour’s house in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, where she and Donoghue were.

During the attack around midnight on September 22, 2019, the victim was hit on the head seven or eight times with a blunt instrument which he thought was a hammer.
Mr Towers added: “He describes being stamped on by both of the defendants and says whilst he was laid on the grass under attack from both defendants Miss Donoghue stabbed him in the leg twice using a pair of scissors."
The pair fled but were quickly arrested by the police after the victim’s partner dialled 999 when she saw him covered in blood.

Hide AdRob Mochrie, defending, said she had suffered post traumatic stress after being in a relationship with James Allen from Middlesbrough who was jailed for 37 years for a shocking double murder in 2012.
Mr Mochrie said the attack was the culmination of those issues and hostility between Donoghue, Youll and the victim.
He said: “She deeply regrets her actions now and in sobriety is horrified at the injuries that the victim sustained.”
Ismael Uddin, mitigating for Youll, said drink and cannabis were involved but she had turned a corner after coming off drugs late last year.
