The event on Saturday, December 16, at the Redheugh Memorial Gardens, in Cliff Terrace, on the Headland, marked the 109th anniversary of the Bombardment of the Hartlepools.
At least 137 people lost their lives when the German Navy bombed the town at the start of the First World War. Hundreds more were also injured.
