Veterans and cadets marched side by side as Hartlepool celebrated its heroes on Armed Forces Day.

Servicemen and women past and present were honoured yesterday as the town paid its respects.

The Heugh Battery was the focal point of the day, which also incorporated Headland Heritage Day.
