Goals from Luke Armstrong, Rhys Oates and Nicky Featherstone saw Pools win 3-1 at Victoria Park to claim a fourth straight National League victory.
It means Sterry has won every game he’s played since joining Pools last month. While the former Newcastle United right-back was satisfied to continue the good run of form, he was critical of the way Pools let the visitors back into the game as Jacob Mendy pulled a goal back.

“We let them back into the game when it should have been completely wrapped up.
“If they scored a second goal I think we would have struggled but the fact we’ve got the three points gives us something to learn from. As long as we watch it back and see what we can do better then there are plenty of positives to take as we’re always looking to improve.”
Sterry’s long-term future at Victoria Park remains uncertain but manager Dave Challinor has made tying the defender down a ‘top priority’ this month.

“We could have conceded more and with no disrespect [to Wealdstone], against a better team we could have lost the game. First half we had a few chances that we should be scoring but it’s another win and I’m loving it here.”
